I just watched a trailer for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, and yes, I am very much Team Edward (and how silly do I feel about that?) but just let me say Taylor Lautner puts up an excellent argument for Team Jacob. Lets watch that again, shall we? Even I who generally don't go for really buff guys can appreciate this one. Although wolf form Jacob looks cheesy. I'll take the sparkly vampire if you please. Also, my parents arrived last night, and they brought with them my two little nephews, Landin and Ethan. I'm so thrilled they are here! I can't believe my idiot brother let my mom and dad bring them. They drove all the way across country and I think it was an awesome experience for the boys. They got to stop and see Old Faithful, and a late season snow storm in Wyoming. It reminds me of my drive across the US when I moved out here. I think I would like to take a trip like that again. The boys told me they wanted to drive across Golden Gate bridge and ride a cable car. We're also gonna take them down the Fishermans Wharf and do some other things. I sing this song on Rockband all the time. I like it so much better than Float On by Modest Mouse. Move Along - The All American Rejects
Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone stands
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
Move along
So a day when you've lost yourself completely
Could be a night when your life ends
Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving
All the pain held in your
Hands are shaking cold
Your hands are mine to hold
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong we move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong, we move along
Along, along, along
When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
[x3]
(Move along)
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
Right back what is wrong
We move along Tags: lyrics Evil resides: Home - Daly City, Ca Feelin' a little: cheerful On the iPod : Move Along - The All American Rejects

So, I've been hanging out of Facebook off and on for a while now. Now many of you know, I'm pretty weird. I always was in high school. I liked to read, was in to D&D even though I didn't get to play. I was considered nerdy and bookish. I was on the speech and debate team, that was a kiss of death. I never really fit in at my preppy catholic high school, and was never really invited to socialize with most of my peers. So imagine my surprise when a slew of them start to request to friend me. Guh? I guess they have outgrown the things that divided us, that seemed to important to them then. They all seem to have kids, and involved lives, and seem so normal. I still don't fit in there. What would their reaction be if they knew I was in to yaoi, or slash? They would probably not understand the Harry Potter, wikth the Slytherin robes, and the dressing up. I don't have kids, or a husband, own a home. I live with 2 male roommates, and 3 cats. I play Rockband, and MMORPGs and poker. I attend conventions and midnight showings. I'm very liberal. I have to decide if Im gonna wanna attend the reunion next year, if I do, boy will it be interesting. What are the odds they got over everything they thought about me as jobs and kids, and politics, and wars, and everything thats happened in the past 20 years changed their perspective on what's important? I'm thinking it will have been replaced by a new prejudice. Tags: past Evil resides: Home - Daly City, Ca Feelin' a little: cynical On the iPod : Angel Season 4

Ya ever notice vampires never seem to do laundry? Why is that? Whatever happened to the days when I would read any story in a fandom? Those heady days when I was so hungry for fic everything was fodder for my voracious appetites? I think I realized life is too short for crappy fic. You have to wade through a lot of drivel to find the good stuff. Kissing frogs? I find myself leery of reading stories that have summaries that go "What if blah blah blah...?" Cliche much? Also, it can't just be me who thinks Stephenie Meyers 4th book is just a wee bit over the top? Bella went from a normal human to uber vamp with shades of Mary Sue. She should have called it Deus ex Machina instead of Breaking Dawn. Ah well. I'm not really her target audience and they probably wouldn't notice in the happy ever after for everyone anyways. I need Edward Cullin icons. So of course I bought the soundtrack, not because it is the Twilight sound track, but because the music really appealed. I find a lot of music that way. Which lead me back to Pandora to look for stuff of a similar vein and long story short, I've downloaded about 10 gigs worth of music this week, with more on the way. I find these days I'm really in to trance, electronica, and a lot of indy stuff. I've always been all over the map musically. Songs I cant stop listening to include Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation, Move Along by All American Rejects, Right Round by Flo Rida, Sparrows and the Nightingales by Wolfsheim, Breath by Breaking Benjamin... so much music, so little space on my hard drive. Also, Rob Pattinson (yeah I know...) is a musician and he has 2 songs on the Twilight soundtrack, and every time they start to play I just stop and listen. Not the sound I would have expected from him, but so beautiful. And if anyone knows where I can find the full song of Let Me Sign, and not just the Twilight version, I would love you forever. I've only been able to find 2 minutes of it....although I keep forgetting to check the iTunes store. First of all, I want to belatedly thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I was in Kentucky for a week with my family and I took all my allergy meds while I was there so was sure I wouldn't get sick this time. Except no one told my cousin or her kids, and imagine my surprise when I get back and yep. I been sick ever since. So Since December, including allergies, I've been sick off and on (mostly on) for 4 months. *sigh* Here is where it gets interesting though. While I was wandering through the book store in KY looking for something to read after I finished Corambis by Sarah Monette, I remembered that someone on my flist once mentioned liking Twilight better than Sharing Knife...or maybe she mentioned it on Twitter. Anyways, it always struck me as something I wanted to check out eventually. So I look and they only have the trade paper back in stock so I decide to wait because I wasn't sure I wanted to spend 12 bucks on it. The next day I fly home and while in the airport I pass a book store kiosk. They have the book, so I grab it. I finish Corambis on the plane, and when I get home that night I start Twilight. Oh swoon. From Edwards first appearance I was hooked. Even while sick and only reading in bursts when I was awake, it didn't take me long to finish, and I needed to see the sequel the next day. So much so that I dragged my ass to B&N with a wad of kleenex. I also picked up the DVD while I was out. When I get home I start reading the second book. Part way through I pop in the DVD and so it begins. I have spent the entire time since then alternating between reading one of the books and watching the DVD. Many times while watching I will pause and reread the corresponding scene in the book. It's just crazy. Mark thinks I'm nuts, but that's just par for the course. Seems silly, huh? So yeah, I'm obsessed with Twilight. Fan fiction anyone??? Tags: books, twilight Evil resides: Home - Daly City, Ca Feelin' a little: dorky On the iPod : Twilight the Movie

Today was oddly busy. Lets see... I woke up, I did manage to get up in time to go to water aerobics. I like this class better than the evening one as it's more intensive. But they will be closing for a year soon to renovate. Sucks. While I was swimming, KiSA sent me a text message, but I didn't see it til I was getting ready to stop at the store. Apparently he took the day off and wanted to hook up. I told him I needed to shower and get the chlorine off, but sure, I'd drive down for a while. I got my sexy on. I love that song. Say what you want about how he got famous, Justin Timberlake does have some talent. Plus, I like how he can laugh at himself. After I left KiSAs, I needed to stop at the store again because I hadn't earlier. Went home, logged in to The Game That Dare Not Speak It's Name. Played for a while. I was really tired though, so I lay down with Sinister and took a nap. It was one of those where Mark wanted to ask questions but I was just too out of it to care what the outcome was, I just wanted to sleep. Poor guy. He knows he has to ask, and it's unlikely he'll get everything right anyways. He isn't gonna win. I'm still stiff from this mornings work out, but hoping to go again in the morning. Day 4 and I did get my Pepsi, but I had to get it myself. 8-p Also, The Powers bless McDonalds. They have started selling pre-sweetened ice tea. This could be the start of a caffeine addiction. I'm hoping to be able to control myself. The fact that I am slowly easing back on to my diet may help. I think it's a testament to how tired I am today that 32 ounces of iced tea couldn't keep me awake. Was really cold and overcast here in Pacifica today, and rainy. Perfect weather. Soon fog season will be here. Oh! Mark sent me a text letting me know he has Juon. So if you have Moonchild, I wanna watch it again. I think. Sitting in bed watching A Dogs Breakfast because David Hewlett told me to on a Twitter post. 10 minutes and wow what a bizarre film. Still, I have a smile on my face. Can't get used to Dr Carson without his accent. Didn't make swimming this morning, but gonna tomorrow. Provided I get to sleep in a reasonable time. Ok, David Hewlett is laying down on the ground with his hands in his pants. Day 3, no Pepsi. If you can read this, and you live near me, please bring me a Pepsi! I was looking through my movies the other day, and Juon and Moonchild are missing. I am pretty sure I loaned them to someone, but can't remember who. If it was you please return them. Yay! So the entire cast of SGA is in this movie. Funny movie, but predictable. Still, I always like to watch David and his sister act together. Been rereading the Amber Chronicles by Roger Zelazny. I know I used to enjoy them more than I do now. I think thats true about a lot of things in the past.
